The Power of Having Faith in Your Product
Someone once asked a man what he thought was his greatest asset in
the life of his business. The man replied “Faith; Faith in me,
Faith in others, and Faith in my business”. This still holds true
today. Without faith in your product, you will not be able to
effectively sell your product. The prospect will see through you,
and will think you a cheat.
What is Faith? Faith is believing in something. It is the ability
to trust in a person or thing. There have been many definitions
regarding faith through the ages. Paul, perhaps, best defines
faith as, “The substance of things hoped for. The evidence of the
unseen.”, thus re-enforcing our attitude towards our product.
There are Two Types of Faith
The common thought about faith is that there is only one type.
This is not true however. The first kind of faith is the factual
faith. It's a type that can be reasoned, and through
experimentation can be proven and or tested. It results in truth.
An example of this is the fact that we all have faith that when we
sit down in a chair, it will support us. This can be proven by
sitting in the chair and by other experiments.
The second type of faith is based on ignorance. This type of faith
can be shown to be false through experimentation. An example of
this type can be shown by the moon. For years it was rumored that
the moon was made of cheese. However through exploration and
experimentation, it was proven otherwise.
Discovering the Truth
Truth. An age old assumption that ideas were either true or false
can be brought to light even in today’s sales person. This is the
key to discovering the truth. When you think about something
completely and wholly, and test and experiment each and every
aspect of an idea, then you can discern whether that idea is true
or false. A truth is an idea that is immutable, and cannot change.
For example, two plus two equals four is an immutable truth. By
using the power of our mind and thinking about the truth in our
sales plan, can we be able to become balanced in our thoughts and
ideas.
Discovering Your Power
Once you master your own spiritual power, you will be able to
drive sales through the roof. No one can do this for you though.
You must make this journey on your own. It will involve soul
searching, testing of your will, and experimenting with the ideas
and thoughts about your sales plan and your beliefs in your
product.
Becoming one with your ideas and sales plans will allow you to
combat objections faster, it will employ the repetition of your
sales plan into your soul. When you are feeling low and need a
pickup, a good sales pitch, even if followed by a no will allow
you to have pride in your own efforts. Take pride in your work,
have faith in yourself, your prospect, and your product. Find the
spiritual center of yourself and your sales plan, and most
importantly, Have Fun!
